Yes, and that's ALWAYS the scenario, no matter how stupid or un-intelligent you think they are way back when at a younger age. Everybody grows, in more ways than one, and I don't know why others look at someone 10 years down the road and say "you got smarter?" because it's true of all human beings - it's called adaptation.
