Of course! They were designed for use in salt or fresh. Just make sure your zinc anodes are good and flush your engine after EVERY trip!

Yes, but, you really need to flush the engine with fresh water when you get home. Many Engines use Saltwater as cooling direct from the ocean. Some Engines use a sealed system similar to a car with a Radiator to help protect the engine from long term use in saltwater.
