my headphone jack is broken and I have a year warranty on it, so can I go to an apple store and have them fix/replace it, or do I send it in? I also don't have the receipt, but they can use the serial number to get that right?

yeah, just make sure you either register online first to reserve a spot to get service or do it as soon as you get to the store. they have a waiting line like at a meat counter. they go by #/name of who was there first
