I've just answered a question about it and it seems a lot of us remember the pink custard.

Did you have to say grace at primary school? I did when I stayed for dinners at Quarry View Juniors.

it was around in the 50s and 60s too, I remember it well. is pink custard the same as pink blancmange but more runny. that was served too. And yes, we said grace as it was a Catholic girls' school. Fond memories!

ps. I loved the skin on the top.

I did and I loved it I can just imagine been back at primary school now, we had to say our prayers before lunch, my favourite pudding was like a crunchy/moist chocolate cake with mint custard which was gorgeous. Its so strange thinking back to the good times when you have no worries, have you ever gone back to your primary school, isn't it surreal how small everything looks when it looked so huge as a child and you can't imagine yourself being so small until your stood there, or is that just me

I remember pink custard. Did you have prunes and custard too? The juice was great. We played Tinker, tailor, Soldier, sailor with the stones.
We said grace at infant school, I don't remember at primary though.

Pink custard, lumpy pink custard. yellow custard, watery, lumpy, thick varieties of yellow custard.

But I remember best is TURQUOISE 'white' snotty cabbage.

Yes we had to always say grace.
And for the ones who said "Grace!" a detention plus lines.
