A few months ago our daughter had a high fever and Children's Motrin worked much better than Tylenol. It helped to calm her enough to sleep and then we took her to the doctor the next day.
It could be teething or it could be something else. When our daughter developed a fever like that, it ended up as Roseola. There could be multiple reasons for it to go up.
Keeping her hydrated is key until you can get to the doctor. (Milk, formula, pedialyte...)

ok heres what the doc tells me to do i have a 19 month old baby and she has seizures when her fever gets high
hers has been 104.1 and i was trippin yeah
give ur baby infant tylenol the first 3 hours then give her ibrophen 3 hours then tylenol etc... repeat that over not more than 24 hours so basically no more than like 4 times in one night yeah newayz.... other than that give her a luke warm bath and never cover her up when she has a fever i did that and my doc told me not too..... try to give her plenty of liquids yeah i know its hard to give water cuz my kids wont drink it ,,,, so id say try ice or pop sicles thas the best
let her wear loose clothing .... other than that if her fever doesnt break then id say take her to urgent care or sumthin good luck!! my doc told me that dont listen to the myth from years ago teeth does not cause fever ... fever is a sign of a virus or infection of some sort....
fever is caused by ur body tryin to fight off infection so no matter what u do if it is a virus then if u use tylenol its jus gonna bring it back up when u dont use tylenol if u understand where im comin from....
basically im sayin: use the tylenol tonight and everythin the bath etc.... and take ur baby to the doc tom. because it could be a virus or an infection.... not her teeth

Usually teeth don't give a fever that high, but sometimes they do, more likely is that her body's fighting a virus or something. However, if she's had the fever for less than 24 hours, don't panic. There's no need to go spend the night waiting in the ER. Give her a dose of Tylenol or Motrin now, (it will probably not bring her temperature to normal, but as long as it comes down at least one degree or two, that's good! If it does not respond at all or goes higher, that's not. Call your doctor ASAP.) and give her lots of cool fluids to drink, and dress her lightweight. If she feels burning warm to you, run her a lukewarm bath and let her play in that for a few minutes. NEVER use rubbing alcohol on a child! It can be dangerous!! Keep up the Tylenol or Motrin every 4 (for Tylenol) to 6 (for motrin) hours thru the night - if she's awake. (If she sleeps, YAY!!!) See how she looks in the late morning tomorrow. If she's a little mushy and clingy, it's okay to keep waiting it out. If she's wailing in pain, wakes up with a dry diaper or is refusing fluids or just looks really sick to you, she needs to see the doctor. She may not want to eat, don't push her, it's okay. Just be adamant about the fluids - ice pops, sherbet, and solid jello count! (Giving her liquid jello is gross, and has no benefit.) If she's happy and playing tomorrow, but still running the fever, touch base with the doctor, but it's okay to wait it out. Fever is our friend.
Good luck! I hope she feels better! (Fingers are crossed that she sleeps for ya tonight!)

102 is a little high. Give her a tempid - not cold - bath and something to drink. Administer some Motrin or other kids pain/fever reliever. If her temp hasn't gone down within another hour, I would take her into a clinic. Teeth could be the problem, but I'm kind of a paranoid mom...

Give tylenol or motrin drops and follow the recommended dosage on the med box. You may soothe her gums with those frozen teething toys, or you may wet a wash cloth, put in freezer, then give it to your baby to bite. You may rub baby orajel on her gum. Just be careful to only apply it on the affected spot.
Teething definitely causes fever. Some babies don't have fever when teething, but others develop watery stools aside from fever. If fever stays for 3 days or longer or if gets higher, then you need to take her to the doctor.
Put on cotton and cool clothes. Give teppid sponge baths as needed. Put was cloth with alcohol on forehead (avoid eye areas) to also help lower the fever. High temp is bad for our brains. It causes convulsions on other kids who cannot tolerate fever.

A temp of 102 is too high to be teething. Teething issues run a fever that is LOW grade- 102 is not low grade. I would give her infant motrin, a bath, and watch her. If she is not better tomorrow, call the doctor. If it is a virus, there is nothing they can do anyway...if vomiting, loose stools, call tonight.
Good luck and I hope she feels better really soon!

Infant Tylenol for the fever (follow directions carefully), a TEPID bath, cool drinks (water or pedialite).
Take her to the doctor if the fever continues more than 24 hours.

She is teething and feverish from teething. you should take your child to the doctor if the fever is about 103.5. Give her a cool bath and a frozen or freezing cold teething ring to help sooth the pain. You can even use baby oragel. give her baby tylenol to reduce the fever. If it gets worse or doesn't lower her fever, take her to the emergency room.

I agree with everyone on the meds. But make sure she doesn't have a rash. Your DR. should have an answering service that someone can call you back. You'd probably feel better talking to her Dr. If they don't you can call the ER and tell them what's going on and they can advise you. A cool washcloth on her head will feel wonderful. Good luck!!
