I am a great fan of sachin but i agree that his most of the great innings could not bring the victory to his team..As a player he is the best but when it comes to compare him with Sanath in the context of their contributions for the team..i would vote for sanath(though not for being a god)..his game is more selfless and he prefers to play for the team as a major ! both are devoted,but one is to his game and the other is to his country(ofcourse it makes a difference)..Down to earth? don't know them in that regards but heard of Sachin's arrogant attitute..doesn't matter though..!both are great entertainers...and santh has better all rounder contributions for sure..!humanitarian campaigns? no idea....lack of that kind of general knowledge.lol..and santh is definitely a great hitter...

He also was the Indian right arm break that took out 96 star Lakan star players fair n square..... A Indian & a South Asian phenomenon.

see my dear friend sachin was good once upon a time but he is not god to indian cricket , nobody is great in front of new comers , we should accept past and present , we won without sachin , we lost without sachin, his contribution to indian cricket is very minute. but he made records for him that is his ability . but records says he is not amatch winner even like SALIL ANKOLA.
