Well the truth is that most writers have run out of ideas of something that's been done. Although the series can continue it needs some insight. When a writer reaches this point most look toward input from others and some take their time to come up with fresh ideas. The Potter series will continue, just not as soon as dedicated readers are used to. So just be patient, You would get tired too of writing the same story over and over again. Besides, she's rich!. Think about all the money she has and what you would be doing this minute with it. People are human, and for that give them a break. You would do the same. Just give it some time, you'll be reading more of the same when she has some well given rest.

You have to be a writer to understand. She told the story of Harry Potter, and trying to appease the audience by writing less-than continuations would take away from the Harry Potter series.

because it's just time to end them. i think if she did anymore she would have run out of things to write about. i mean you can only stretch the whole "ahh Voldemort is getting stronger and now he's back!" thing so far. shes been writing them for 10 years and i would get burnt out on it too. i think she did a great job ending the series and has, at least for me, satisfied the need to know what happens.

She started writing Harry in 1990-- that's seventeen years of her life that have been tied up in this character and this world! Sometimes, people just need a change and want to try something new.

Besides, I think it is better that she stop writing now before Harry "jumps the shark".

Why question it? I'm tired of hearing about Hairy Pothead and his nerdy adventures anyways.
