Anyone may comment, of course, even if you don't believe in free will. But the answers I'm looking for come from those who do. Thanks either way for your time! :-)

I believe in free will. I define free will as -
It`s when an agents DGD (Desire Generating Device) and BGD (Belief Generating Device) is functioning properly. Obviously human beings are living organisms not machinery - the generating Device is just an analogy - for the parts of the brain which produce beliefs and desires. When a person is caught in the grip of a compulsion I.E. Kleptomaniac their DGD is not functioning properly thus they are not free. People that are severly brainwahsed have malfunictioning
DGD & BGD`s.

Since I am a big believer in 'free will' my definition includes the word - decide or decision.

It is always my decision when I act and not someone else's in my exercise of free will.

So if I obey the law, it is because I decide to do so. If I obey a cop it is because I decide to do so. I am not an automaton, my free will is based on my decisions.

Will is a concept, a thought. The only real freedom we have, which cannot be taken, is freedom of thought.
