My friend and I are one week and three days from starting our freshman year and we do not know anything about it! What are you supposed to do?

If it's a big high school you might want to see if you can go there before the first day of school and check out where your classes are. I did that and it really helped-it wasn't as overwhelming the first day that way. Good luck! I had an awesome first year. I'm sure you'll be much more confident after a few days there.

Being a freshman in high school was the best three years of my life. Seriously, when you are a freshman, you are at the lowest part of the high school system. Everyone else is either a freshman or upper class-man. So give it all you've got, you have nothing to lose. You are at the bottom of the "food chain" so to speak. You want to be friends with everyone, smile a lot and try to learn peoples names. They will be impressed that you thought enough of them to remember their names. Try to like everyone. The person you are not friendly with, could be the one that will affect your future in some way. Most of all, have a great time.

I just finished my freshman year, and let me say that you must be prepared. Teachers aren't going to hold your hand and help you every step of the way. Also, if you fail you fail, unlike middle school you'll still pass if you fail a class, but in high school you have to retake the class. High School is so much better than middle school, you'll like it.

The first week of high school sucked, but after that things got better. 9th grade was my best so far. I'm gonna be in 10th next year.

Just make sure you're prepared for a lot of homework. Always do the extra credit assignments when they're offered.
