i liked ouran high school host club, fruits basket, and stuff like that. I don't want to watch animes like bleach,naruto, and inuyasha because i'm pretty bored with the ninja/action types of anime.

Definitely watch Lovely Complex! This is a GREAT show!
Since most of what I watch is ninja/action types - even the love stories - cant really recommend anything else at the moment... but if you can embrace the action:

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, it's like Ouran High School Host Club, but different. It's a shoujo anime, but it's full pof comedy, Romance and mega Bishies. you can watch it on Veoh =D

Go with Fist of the North Star by Magna or Ninja Scroll...These two are some of my favorites,for the fact that the art presented in the animation is incredibly vibrant,detailed and way ahead of it's time....

Well if you want anime that is licensed and available in America, I'd suggest The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya or Air TV.
Otherwise, Lucky Star is quite enjoyable

Ha! I love Anime. Try watching some movies maybe like by Meizoki. Try Princess TuTu or Magic Kind Rayearth, but MKR is kinda actiony.
