I have been hearing a lot about Alquaeda lately, and I hear Bush gave a 29 minute speech a few days ago that mentioned ALquaeda 120 times.

Isnt' the aim of terrorists to frighten us? and to make us really scared so that we change our way of life? Is Bush combatting them or helping them to frighten us?

Absolutely. I have proof for that (as usual) :-)

Some days back, the PM (yea, Prime Minister) of Iraq, Nouri al-Maliki asked the US to "MOVE OUT OF IRAQ" and even got angry with the US for working along a "purely American vision."

Here's the link - http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070714/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq;_ylt=AsjkQXDovbqNhmopj0LvQkqs0NUE

(Psst... Now dont reply with a stupid message stating that he is an idiot and show how idiotic YOU can be).

Now, the US realised that they need to do something fast before they lose all the oil. So they shot off with this absolutely unconvincing reply, a reply that reeks of "PANIC" - http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/07/16/africa/16commander.php

Then Bush says that Al Qaida is still there in Iraq. And the next thing that happens are the blasts in Baghdad.

Moreso, doesnt the timing of this blast in Iraq yesterday, make you feel something is fishy?

I had said this 2 weeks ago that US would indulge in bombings and stuff like that to say in Iraq - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ar5Hef3x_7XMAiXcZNEMkunty6IX?qid=20070714151223AAmzOeH&show=7#profile-info-92500e20d684658e47a9625b0bca37c8aa

And see what happened !!!

Its all a gimmick to stay in Iraq and make hay while the Oil shines.

The aim is to get a Republican elected as President next year. There were 14 "terror" alerts issued in the last 6 months leading up to the 2004 election. Tom Ridge later admitted that most of the information used to justify the terror alerts was total BS.

Thus, you can expect to hear more and more terrorism rhetoric leading up to the election next year. 120 mentions of Al-Qaida is nothing. Just wait for the GOP convention speeches.

Possibly. There might be any number of reasons to do so. For instance, they may be trying to build up support for military action in Pakistan (if they were going after Iran, it would make more sense to harp on that country's nuclear program, support of insurgents in Iraq, and links to Hezbollah).

Just a little hype to help his party in the election polls.

I wonder if every insurgent that is killed is labeled as Al Qaeda just to justify the US presense there.

Just go ahead and ignore it if it is going to create more whining. If something happens we'll let you know.

No. Bush just gives the facts.
He is hoping that are we have the intelligence to understand that.

Would you rather he keep the facts from us?
Then we could whine about that.
