it was like try for 10 minutes i need a pw and login to go longer, i'm on its wireless connection on my laptop. anyboy know how to go about this

Call the desk and ask them about it. Since you're a registered guest at the hotel, they'll most likely set you up with a login and password if they officially offer that as one of their amenities.
They probably have the time limit in place so they can run their network as an open system (easier to administer with guests constantly coming and going than WPA or WEP), but at the same time not allow every Tom, Dick, and Harry within range to use their wireless for free (i.e., without being a guest of the hotel).

If the hotel advertises "Wireless service" for hotel guests. Then call the front desk and ask them why it only stays connected for 10 min.

I suspect it is a setting set by the hotel. Check with them.
