my partner and i are trying for our first baby.
we had intercourse before, during and after ovulation days.
AF came almost a week early. it lasted for five days. the discharge was very brown and light, then on day two it was pink with brown still very light. on the third day, i had a bit heavier pink bleeding with more brown (it was not as heavy as my normal flow), for the remaining days, it was mostly very light (still brown with some light pink) and only really appeared when i wiped.
i have never experienced a period quite like this..
i do have tender breasts with some puffyness around the areoles.
i took a first resonse test the day this all started in the afternoon, it was negative. was it taken too early and at the wrong time of day?
could this just be a period or possibly implantation bleeding?
any help would be greatly appreciated = )

I am in the same boat as you...I had spotting for 3 days though a week before my AF was due (AF was due July 22nd and Spotting began July 15th). which would have been about a week after OV( I Ov'd on the 9th I think, I only have 24 day cycles). I have taken a test and gotten a VERY faint + almost ghostly so I am waiting to see if it gets darker or if it was just a fluke, good luck to you and keep us posted. Baby Dust to you

I'm surprised you would ask something so serious and private on here but, on the other hand you trust us, with all the trolls hounding the columns.
This has to be brought to your doctors attention. Tests have to be made, if he has any doubts he'll wait for the bleeding to stop, this is the normal procedure, there's not much he can do now unless you bleeding vigorously, then of course you have a real serious problem.

It is possible that it is implantation bleeding, although it does sound like quite a bit of bleeding for that. If it is implantation bleeding, a pregnancy test would show negative for the first couple of days after implantation. If you're unsure, I'd go ahead and test again.

I would wait a couple more weeks and then test again. You could be pregnant and it was just too early... something seems strange about this... Good luck!
