Hi folks

Any tips on how to revitalise leather gardening gloves that have gone all stiff? This usually happens when the gloves are nearly worn out anyway, but these gloves are still really nice and I'd love to know if it's possible to soften them again.

Thanks in advance.

That just gave me the best laugh of the day - good one! I agree, my tomatoes & runners are cr*p too. Buying tomatoes at this time of year means those gloves are going to have to last me!

Any leather cleaner/conditioner. Actually I often wet them, wash with saddle soap, stretch them to shape, let them dry and then rub some leather conditioner into them. I've often though lanolin would work too, but never remember to bring any to the garden shed.

Work some oil into them, any type that you would use for leather goods like waterproofing oil for boots.

My husband uses neats foot oil on his boots. Here's a link to explain what it is, kind of gross but it works really well. I think it might be available at hardware stores or outdoors stores, or maybe at Walmart.

I honestly have no idea. But, seems that warm vegetable oil might work, let them soak overnight and see if that changes anything..
