My wife and I have a single daughter that plays select A softball. What this entails is about $15,000 a yr.,practice and or tournements just about 7 days a week.. all but 1 month a year. she has been playing since she was 5 and is currently getting recruited from high schools wanting a letter of promise from her, to play there. its a family activity that we have all enjoyed for years and she is a top rated player in the state of texas. Should we move to wherever it is she decides to go, and support her due to the fact it could and probly will help with college . I am self employeed and work from home and my wife works for a co. that gives her the ability to transfer anywhere in the U.S. We're just not sure what to do .Any suggestions would help for sure . A added note she is very smart and would do whatever her mother and i decide without any questions knowing we have in mind whats best for her .

if you're daughter is getting recruited for high school then i think she will have no problem getting into college on a free ride .. so take some time before you decide to move .. she already has friends .. you guys have already built a life with your own friends and jobs .. no matter what high school she goes to she'll still be a hot prospect for many colleges once they watch her play travel ball .. good luck with w.e you decide!

Okay what I think is best for her is go to college and get an education . What happens if she injures herself and can no longer play ball ? I think that you and your wife should stay put and make sure that she goes to college ,baseball can wait and she can still play while in college . and the other option is to ask who ever gave her the letter of promise what happens if she gets hurt and cannot play . Has anybody asked this question ? If not I would be getting more info on this . good luck to you .

She could probably get a college scholarship, which would be so great. If the family is open to moving, I say go for it!!

I would do it, if she was a loyal and affectionate daughter, might not do it if she really believed she was all that on her own and had a tude. Too bad it is not golf.
