What are your thoughts of cellular phones? Me I think they're great for emergency purposes but I think they can get really annoying at times such as when people are using them while operating a motor vehicle or if you're talking to somebody and all of the sudden their phone rings.

i think they are convenient. i get to call long distance for free, have an instant cordless phone (at home), have an instant car phone (yes my phones are wired for handsfree) get free phone service ammenities (text, id, internet, gps, music), and have emergency 911 locator.
however, i do think there are plenty of morons that abuse this fine technology (because you know, cellular phones themselves aren't annoying--it's the rude people that abuse them that are annoying)...you know, the people that are constantly talking to someone, loudly, as if everyone around needs to know how "important" they are because they just have to talk about some pretentious subject. then there are the idiots that insist on operating a 4000lb potential killing-machine (i.e., the suburban assualt vehicle) because they need to continue said pretentious conversation on the road...

I personally can't stand cellular phones, they are really annoying and I think it's rude when you're talking to somebody and all of the sudden their stupid phone rings and they'll stop talking to you so they can use their phone, I have a cellphone but I only use them for emergencies and nothing else, I wish we can live the simpler times like we did in the 1970s/1980s.

They are great for an emergency. It seems that alot of people seem to think that they are of some importance because they are yacking away on the cell phone ALL OF THE DA_N TIME!!!!!!!! Don"t these morons realize that there is a time and place for those irritating things commonly called cell phones!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you. I know people who are slaves to their cell phones, they'll be mid-sentence talking to you, the phone rings, and they just HAVE to answer it! And don't get me started on driving while talking...You might as well be drunk! I can see their occasional uses, but truly I think they're one of the most annoying inventions of the 20th century!

i deffinetly agree with you...most people who drive cant do all 3 of these things at the same time...drive, talk, and not b a retard!!! My cousins live in new york (dont quote me on this) but i think they have a law that says that all cell phones have 2 b hands free...that would b cool 2 have

I personally love cellphones, I talk with my friends on them all the time and I sure can't live without my cellphone, it is a must for me.

I can't tolerate them. I do not understand the craze people have about them. Didn't we do without them only 10 years back.
