I can remember politics back to the late 60's and it seems that when ever either of the parties held the house, senate and white house all kind of things happened. Conflicts, rights eroded and defecits increased. These things happened even when they were split up but things really get railroaded through other wise.

Also if you want to say which group is worst remember we left the gold standard in 71 so inflation has ragged. Example my dad bought a house in 1961 for $9.995.00 and sold it thirty years later for almost $120,000.00. And Vietnam was President Johnson's and the dems tar baby.

But since I'm a independant say what ever you like.

I think it's preferable when there are different parties in the executive and legislative branches because then they have a harder time passing more laws, of which we have more than enough!!

I'm pretty leery about what would happen if we have a Democratic president and congress - let the tax increases begin!!

Only to the point- where nothing is getting done for SO long- that the Country is beginning to suffer from LACK of Governmental Oversight.
