Hi, my LAN is 100 MB fast ethernet, all computers show 100 Mbps connected but one shows 10 Mbps connected, and the NIC installed in that PC is 10/100Mbps, Windows XP installed, motherboard support 10/100Mbps, why that PC only runs on 10Mbps? please advise. Thanks a lot!

you will need to set your network card. go into device manager and bring up your network connections. then in your network card, there is a tab called advance. then click on connections type. it should be set at default "auto-negot." if you want you can set it at 100 base tx full duplex. after doing that, your connections will always read 100mbps.

Check the NIC and see if it's been locked at 10 Mbps. Ditto for the port it's connected to. It's also possible that you have some cabling issues that are degrading the connection.

go into network connections and change you speed settings in the ADVANCED tab.

good luck, hope this helps!
