You have a very good point. I always thought that as well. There is just as much proof and validation for the bible as there is for ancient mythology. However, the over zealous religious fanatics would probaly flip out, not understanding that their religion has as much historical merit as a Children's Fariytale.

The bible and the religions associated with are Myth just like all religions, but those not so inclined to believe this would not be comfortable debating here.
However those who believe in other Gods do not have a problem. Everyone Gods are real to them. Including Zeus.
And for true believers of any faith their personal Gods commune with them.
But some people get very heated about their special book.
Peace to all and really great question!

If you chose to believe that, then you also have to lump in all the worlds other religious documents, like the Koran, etc. And there are historical facts found in the bible. Archaeologists have found proof of certain stories.

There is already a religion section. This one is good for the ancient religions and the other is good for the current major religions. Keeping them separate is just fine.

Why is it that people like you can`t just believe how you want, and let others believe as they please. I bet you believe in atoms.....ever seen one? Give me YOUR proof, not just what someone else says. I bet everything you know is what SOMEONE ELSE taught you, what you read in books, so what it boils down to is, YOU believe what YOU want to believe. YOU believe Darwin is your savior, I`ll believe Christ is mine, and we`ll just wait and see. (I don`t mind your not believing, why should you feel compelled to down my belief, you narrow minded, misguided , poor................. fellow.)
