has anyone else changed their opinion of sports as they get older, my example here is all the people thinking brady is the greatest q.b. of all time or d-wade better than jordan, or that kobe is the best ever, my bet is 99 out of 100 times those thoughts are from kids, when i was younger i thought will clark was better than micky mantle just because will clark played when i was a kid, well i now know better, my question is is their anyone you thought was better than the all time greats when you were a kid and now know that not even to be close to be true, please give examples, football, baseball, basketball only please

I think the older I get, the more I realize that I don't know it all. There's always more information out there than I can get, so it's difficult to jump to conclusions.

When I was a kid, I rooted for Bill Russell in his games against Wilt Chamberlain. But I think I realized how good Wilt was, and my respect for his game only grew over the years. I was a big Carl Yastrzemski fan, but I don't think I ever thought he was the best ever. I recall being a pretty good student of history even then, and knew Babe Ruth was an all-timer.
