Mommy to Mom, Daddy to Dad...
I remember my brothers and sisters were all scared to call them Mom and Dad...one day we mustered up the courage and said it at the same time to Mom...then ran away and we all laughed (still a bit scared, lol) : )

Last year when my son was 11, he informed us that he would be calling us Mom and Dad from now on. No explanation given. It was just prior to him starting middle school.

I can't ever remember calling my folks Mommy or Daddy - It was always Mom and Dad.

I called my mom mommy until I was 11
I still call my Dad Daddy, but we are like best friends.

I still call my dad daddy....but i live in the country so its normal here. But momma went to mom when i was umm 15 i think. Not real sure.

I think I've always called my mom and dad "mom and papa" ... "papa" because I'm French Canadian (NOT from Quebec). My mom still refers to her mom and dad as "mommy and daddy" ... I think because they both died within two years of each other ... leaving her an orphan at 6 y/o.

i was probly 12, i think then i felt older, cause i cant call them mommy and daddy now, i feel to young. but my friends still call ther mom mama and dad daddy sometimes

I never really changed. I still call my mom mommy or mama. I always call my dad, dad.

I called my dad Daddy until one night when he was drunk he kept saying "daddy daddy daddy daddy" in a such a way that I never called him that again.
I always called my mom, mom.

I still say mom and momma..
Sometimes I will say "I need my mommy"
But I don't call her that.
I still call my daddy..."Daddy"
sometimes "dad".
