Just the fact that it makes you stupid should be enough to avoid it.

You wont find much! The truth is that there has be very little research done on the effects of marijuana... well very little that has been made public! Because smoking marijuana is no more harmful then smoking a cig!
So good luck looking for that research... notice how no one provided you links? There is a reason for that!
Don't believe everything the goverment kids!

Marijuana smoke contains some of the same cancer-causing compounds as tobacco, sometimes in higher concentrations.Studies show that someone who smokes five joints per week may be taking in as many cancer-causing chemicals as someone who smokes a full pack of cigarettes every day.
That's it.
Probably no worse in the long term as spending an hour standing over your barbecue on a Saturday night getting those steaks just right.
Actually, we all need to get stupid once in a while....it's good for your soul.

They have no concrete evidence. It's all BS and speculation not to mention propaganda.
My girlfriend is a drug councilor in a mental clinic and she doesn't see anything wrong with it except for the 1.5 times the amount of tar and nicotine than cigarettes have but then, I know of no one that smokes it like people smoke cigarettes.

Actually, there is quite a bit of it. But the harms are not what most people allege them to be. The harms are in the side effects, such as binge eating, hypotension, asthenia, asthma, etc. Just Google for it and you WILL find it. Check the sources though because you'll find a lot of crap.

Inhaling smoke of any kind is harmful on some level. There is still some debate over what effect Marijuana has on neurons. Some of them appear to be less active while under influence of the drug, and some of them seem to die but it is not proven that it actually kills them or damages their performance.

It is common knowledge that pretty much anything that burns releases carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, both of which are harmful to humans in large amounts.

Who needs research when you can see it first hand in rehab clinics. I have seen people addicted to marijuana and that was the only thing they were using. It was very tough for one young lady I know in particular to kick the addiction but she did and thanks God for her new life.
