Not really. I don't see the harm in it, unless it becomes such a fixation that you can't think of anything else. Water is very essential to humans. We drink it, we bathe in it, we wash our clothes and dishes in it, and our bodies are made up of a high percentage of water. Going swimming and other recreational activities that have water as a backdrop, are healthy pastimes. My daughter loves the ocean, too, and she's always lived in the midwest or the south. So I don't think you're wierd, you're just in love -- with water, that is. Gulp!

I love the ocean but I won't get in it unless I'm in a boat, I like to swim too but the water has to be clean, now all I drink is water but it has to be distilled or purified, tap water won't do anymore, I am weird you are not!

Hydrophilia would be the opposite of hydrophobia (irrational fear of water).
