I'm assuming that there would be some set of laws for companies who make and manufacture products. For example, are there laws to making party accessories? Where can i look these laws up? Thanks.

There are lots of laws involved there. Tax laws. Business licenses. OSHA safety standards. There are huge numbers of laws regarding businesses. Can you please be more specific to what types of laws?

There is probably not anything specific to party accessories.

Before the EU days, Britain manufactured to a standard that permitted approved goods to bear the old "kite mark". This, since we entered Europe, has changed so that the "CE" mark is required in order for goods to be certified as safe to use. The "CE" mark is used throughout the EU and there is a whole bunch of Directives that apply to different manufacturing concerns. (Electrical/electronic/mechanical etc). Try this website - should keep you busy for a couple of years at least.

Don't know about outside the EU.

There may be industry standards, whaich aren't actual laws, but are well-known and adhered to in the industry, to avoid litigation.

There may be state or local regulations governing working conditions.

Look up the civil code of your state for a start.

Contact a manufacturer of goods for industry standards.

Good luck!
