Does anyone realize that thousands of people in america die everyday because they don't have health care insurance. Why are people not outraged by this type of injustice. Has the american public become so numb to what is going on in this country that they will not speak out about anything. I have been a member of the army reserve for fourteen years, and back in 2004 I was mobilized to go to iraq. At this particular time I had what is called a femorial hernia my job did not provide me with medical insurance, and the national guard refused to give me the surgery. They were in effect saying you are good to die in combat but not good enough for us to fix your medical problem. You see people every day that have served this country getting scrwed, and no one seems to care it is really sad. but these same people cant' wait to here about people like britney spears, or paris hilton, or lindsey lohan or some other celebrity who has not done anything for anyone. people are so blind and nieve

It's about the money. Those who can afford it, have it those who don't suffer.

Here's some more interesting info -

A surgeon general's report in 2006 that called on Americans to help tackle global health problems has been kept from the public by a Bush political appointee without any background or expertise in medicine or public health, chiefly because the report did not promote the administration's policy accomplishments, according to current and former public health officials.

Three people directly involved in its preparation said its publication was blocked by William R. Steiger, a specialist in education and a scholar of Latin American history whose family has long ties to President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Steiger, 37, is a godson of former president George H.W. Bush and the son of a moderate Republican who represented Wisconsin in the House and hired a young Dick Cheney as an intern. The elder Bush appointed Steiger's mother to the Federal Trade Commission in 1989.

I agree with you here it's bad. Bad enough that now we are paying for all the illegal's health insurance. (Well if you live in Massachusetts where EVERYONE has to have insurance by law. Why pay for it in the first place when it seems to not cover anything? Sounds like a scam to me. It's all about the money.

a million) i will on no account discover advice in this one. lots of the situations that I hear of comprise one ofs. i will inform you that i haven't heard of a unmarried case the place it is been for some thing that became into extensively mandatory, that's clever, because of fact Canada does not positioned those needing scientific preserve a life threatning difficulty on wait lists. that's barely those needing experimental or attractiveness remedies. Even Shona Holmes (uncertain in case you observed those classified ads) and her "recommendations tumor" (which became into certainly a cist that, if left untreated for an prolonged quantity of time, could have impaired her imaginative and prescient - as stated with the help of the Mayo sanatorium the place she went for scientific care) became right into a case of a Canadian crossing the border that became into blown out of share with the help of lobbyists who're paid with the help of coverage firms. 2) regrettably, the final stat in this became into from 1992 (according to probability that has some thing to do with the coverage marketplace overlaying the numbers up). In 1992, it became into six hundred,000 in Ontario by myself. that's envisioned, inspite of the undeniable fact that, that in the process 2008, people spent over $a million billion in prescriptions by myself in Canada. curiously, that's a sprint challenging to music, because of fact there are people who hop the border to pay much less for particular remedies (in basic terms electorate can visit the well-being midsection for loose, yet people pays under a million/10 what they do in united states of america of america for particular methods) and others who gets pretend provincial well-being taking part in cards to get loose scientific care (those are people who're challenging to music).

you have a good point about unequal access to health care, but thousands would be dying every day anyway - just as thousands are born every day. Decent health care can extend livespans, but we all die anyway in the end.
