There was a question earlier about Mitt Romney and most of the responses said that they do not take into account what the candidates religion is. I was wondering if these folks would answer the same if he belonged to "The Church of Satan" and be sworn in on the Satanic Bible?

I think the value of any human is wholly related to their spirituality. If they haven't a relationship with God the Father, I'll pray for, not vote for.
I am a Christian and wouldn't blink an eye if he were murdered. (a Satanic leader)

Hi Steph,

kinda ramble but does answer ou question i you car to read

It is their cover al story because the tuth is RELIGION plays a HUGE part in politics. I'm sure you noticed that there have been and still is 'GOD" for every single president we had and have. Mostly chritian of one for or another. The population will not even take a female serius if she runs for the presadent. Most of us are programmed through fear - like the frigging wars they cause -- they need a leader in war and dont relaize they allowed him to start this by lies. He found nothhing and now everyone sees it as it truly is. Money..and to a large extenet the current presidant is controlled by bush senior. He caught husane * and LET HIM GO. So now there is war again from his sn which the presidant before him did this mass killing and no one would think he wood - stble confidant and does obviouusly do what he wants . When he left , bush took his place so for one man we were not killing nd being killed. now heres the funny thing - clition had a TRILLION dollars surpluse for the first time ever in history - so obviously the country was better because in that administration things were booming and he sill manage to get a trillion dollars. bush on the other hand spent ALL of it and now we go deeper in debt. so to anser your question - i agree - to sum up why we elect christian type god fearing prsidents is is simple...."no one really wants a man n office with no faith or a faith of sacrifice. so basically they usually take a religion that is appealing to most of the population - and since it could be fraud like bush - um god talked to bush? - yet he is killing people for over five years now including united states people.

Normally I would say that I would not let a politicians religion affext how I vote. I make that exception for cults and extremists, which is what I consider mormonism to be. They have a 10% rule, which means 10% of your income must go to the "church" .Look up and see some of the crazy b.s. they believe and then decide if you want your tax dollars, which pays the President his salary, going to fund the mormon cult. I know I don't. And yes, if there was a candidate from the church of Satan, I wouldn't vote for him because of it either.

I have a set of ideological issues that are important to me, and if I find a candidate that is closely aligned with me on them, he can be a card-carrying member of the Flip Wilson Church of What's Happening Now.

It's moot, however, because such a candidate couldn't get elected dog catcher.

That just might change things. Good point! I believe everything
should be taken into account. Not even so much because I don't like or agree with someone's religion but to see if they are a good follower of what they say they are to see if they are true to their own standards!

I believe a person's religious beliefs should be taken into account when choosing a candidate. Religion is part of who they are.

the religion is always an issue when you vote , you choose a candidate cause you believe in the person he is (his convictions and values ) and this has a lot to do with his religion .
