I'm not trying to gay bash or anything that isn't the purpose of this question and I don't want and gay bashing answers. Ellen just isn't funny and she's on like four channels, does anyone know why?

She's on because Network owners like her
and she must make them money. Perhaps
she takes some heat off them, ie fairness
to LGBT, and they use her for a "token".
I know she's not funny, but she's cute. I like
her, and if Ellen can get a show on TV just
about anyone can.

All Ellen does is entertain people and interview celebrities and other newsworthy and interesting guests on the show. She doesn't preach her sexuality, totally unlike Rosie -- who never misses an opportunity to shove her lesbian status down our throats, and preach her political agenda, something Ellen definitely does NOT have. Oh, and I like how she dances through the audience, her preceding monologues, and the way she selects music to introduce certain guests.

How about because she is Funny! and people like to watch and laugh with her, and she has all the best guests and she loves to dance and she likes old people and, and and well lets just say I have never seen her kick a puppy on her show, she inspires people, and she is a good role model, she makes us feel good about our self's.

She's great at stand up...not so great as a talk show host or actress...ppl love her. She's not offensive, arrogant or over powering (not like Montel, Dr. Phil, Tyra or Oprah). She's basically vanilla ice cream surrounded by sorbets.

Because she halarious and I personaly LOVE her and obvisiously alot of other people do too or else she wouldn't have won the Emmy's this year or the People's Choice Awards

I like her. I think she is funny. Her show is a lot better than most of the other talk shows that are on tv. I guess it is just a matter of personal opinion.

Other people think she IS funny and watch her show. That's why. Considering that people also watch The View, the most annoying show to ever exist, I'm not surprised.

because she is in. people like her comedy.they think she is the answer to new talk shows.you should be asking why tyra banks is on tv,we don't need that oprah jr.

I don't like her at all and not because she is gay. But she just has very dry humor.
