I have read that during medieval era many womens and young girl clamed to have been visited on their bed during night by many misterious non-human creatures.
When the creature vanish after hours of tourmenting, it let no biological trace, only smoke.

Can this still be happening in modern time?Ladies,do you think the incubus happend to you before?

considering many ancient (even modern cultures) will kill a female if she's been raped or had consenting sex outside of marriage.
possibly many "creatures" fictitious and fact are given names and made stories about to soften the blows of man murdering/avenging man.

I've also heard that during that era, men and women claimed to have been raped by a succubus or incubus because they were ashamed if, say, they had a wet dream and there was evidence the next morning. The incubus or succubus was a scapegoat so that the man or woman wasn't blamed for the "sin."

Actually, the entities are much older than medieval era. Different cultures called them various names, but they are sexual predators. And yes, people do have disturbing experiences with them in modern times.

One form they take in modern times is The Peering Shade. If you ever felt like some dark thing was right next to your bed staring down at you, that's it. The worst part is: you go to sleep! They induce sleep and nightmares. I've had roomfuls of people (especially women) go white when I describe this because they experienced it and never talked about it.

The "Devil" is a Christian Myth. An incubus is a wonderful excuse for a lost virginity and that is all that keeps the word alive.

Incubus is a band, not bad either.
Man has his way without consent daily and blames the devil.
The idea of a devil child is getting more than you wish by using evil ways to get it. Its a metaphor.

In the popular belief of the Middle Ages, the Succubus (Latin, 'to lie beneath') was a demon who preyed sexually on men; her counterpart the Incubus (latin, 'to lie upon') haunted women. These demon lovers were thought to assume human form to visit their victims in the dead of night, sometimes taking on the appearance of the unknowing victim's spouse or lover. The incubus had the ability to paralyze the victim, or even to cause all of the occupants of a house to fall into a stupor while it carried out its evil deeds. Sex with an incubus was described as an unpleasant, often painful affair.

The origins of the sexual demon go back to the beginnings of civilization- the Assyrian legend of Lilith, the Night Hag whose children became the lili, who roamed about at night satisfying their endless lust with human men. In Hebrew folklore, Lilith was the first intended of Adam, who was banished for her refusal to assume an inferior sexual position. According to legend, Lilith visited her wrath on mortal men by seducing them to produce demon children. She got her revenge on human women by murdering their newborns in the cradle.

At the peak of the great witch hunts, it was widely believed that sex with an incubus was necessary for the initiation of a witch. Sometimes, the demon lover was a reward for faithful service top Satan.

In later times, the incubus and succubus were seen as the same being, in different forms. As succubus, the demon would collect semen from male victims; later, as incubus, it would impregnate female victims. (This view undoubtably helped explain a number of inconvenient pregnancies!) Twins and babies with deformities were often thought to be the offspring of the incubus.

The extreme repression of sexual urges by the Church is almost certainly responsible for the eruptions of these unwanted sexual fantasies- as erotic feeling was considered sinful, any sexual dream or fantasy was the product of demons. The more repression, the more frequent and intense the 'visitations.'

I think they could absolutely be real. (An incubus was also a convenient excuse for any unwanted pregnancies in millenia past!)

Something to think about...

Some 'Faerie' stories in the 17th/18th/19th centuries had similar incidents.

Some Alien stories in the 20th century had similar incidents.

What if its always the same 'characters''?

its never happened to me but incubus could be real its possible its like god can do really good things and can heal and stuff , and the devil can do bad things and kills and stuff so im suspecting he probably can because nobody is more powerful than god and the devil.
