How come when I try to uninstall powerdvd on my laptop it doesn't work?

Hi. By "doesn't work" I assume you mean doesn't uninstall. Did you try "Add/Remove Programs"? You may have to delete the files manually. If they come back then my guess is that your registry has been modified.
