That's funny! Well, as an Atheist, I sure do find the Bible confusing.
But surely you did not expect anything less from the Straussians. I wonder how did a Jewish teacher of Muslim philosophy came to influence the most Christian US administration in modern memory? Leo Strauss taught different things to different students. However, he taught the Neocons how to hide their heterodox beliefs behind benign faith. He told them to tell "Noble Lies" to hide "Deadly Truths". And of course he was a Nazi Jew. So the "Third Reich" concept makes sense.

It is historical fact that the "Bible" was edited over and over, we still have "books" that are being found. It was written 1000 years after the fact, so I don't "buy" anything in it. Read the Dead Sea scrolls and see the difference in what is written there, and what "who-ever" decided to write what they wanted in the "Bible" long after the fact, ever wonder about that. Catholics and Protestants edited entire books out of it too. (they admit this) too, it's not just one people.A lot got lost in multiple translations too....I don't personally believe any God is that arbitrary, do you? By the way, No, I'm not an atheist, I just love history, and science, more then fantasy.

I agree with Jeff M. Why are you liberals always trying to pick a fight? Just curious as to whether or not you actually believe the ideals you espout.

Uh, what? See why Liberals never understand sense, freedom, or Conservatives? If they can't make sense themselves, then they can't understand anyone else, or even themselves. Basket cases are what they're called.
