The Clarihew is a four line poem with the rhyming scheme aa-bb where the first line is the name of the subject of a poem.

Examples:

BF Skinner
Found a way, a sure-fire winner
To condition a rodent, and that
Is like pulling a habit out of a rat

Lt. Col. Oliver North (retired)
Lied to congress and that got him fired.
His PROFS notes, he appeared to lose,
And now he's working for Fox News.

There are no metrical requirements of a clarihew.

Can you write one?

This was the first clerihew written by Edmund
Clerihew Bentley (1875-1956). The English detective
story writer composed it while only a schoolboy:

Sir Humphrey Davy
Abominated gravy
He lived in the odium
Of having discovered sodium

and an original one by Kevin Sorbello:

Sir Walter Raleigh
Is remembered for his folly
Covering a puddle for his queen
Left him a cape he couldn't clean

I've never attempted one of these, but it didn't hinder my enjoyment of both of yours. They were very well done.
