Just like everything else in life, some will be happy for him and some won't. It now appears that Bud Selig will be there for the big event and that will be good for Bonds and MLB. He should be respected for his unbelievable accomplishments but there will always be those out there that believe otherwise.

No he wont and if you ask me I think he gets less credit than he deserves. Roger Clemens is just as obvious of a steroid user as Barry Bonds because his career was over and all of a sudden his performance goes up, his shoulders are wider, he's about 40 pounds heavier and he's back on top. It could be said that Bonds is more of a jerk than Clemens but in reality Bonds at least GOES to his team's games when he's not playing and at least hasn't thrown a broken bat at anybody. Yet despite this, Bonds has become the steroid's poster boy while Roger is getting respect from everyone. Barry Bonds doesn't like the press and makes that clear which is probably why the press has been trying to portray the situation as if Bonds is the "worst" user and should be disrespected. He's going to break the record so i think fans need to just grow up and look around baseball so that they can actually understand what's going on and who they should really be hating.

He'll definitely still receive the respect from intelligent and mature people, plus peers in MLB.
His drug use was "LEGAL" anyways, so no penalties should be forthcoming.
People that cannot read or comprehend English or still hate Barry Bonds will need the asterisk on paper with a footnote of "these HR's were hit for the benefit of keeping baseball a sport and also to irritate the retards that dislike Barry Bonds"!

Everyone who says they hate him and all will still be watching when he hits 756, i'm not a fan of the guy either but its a fact he'll get it some time in the coming weeks. Just get over the fact that he's not exactly a people person and embrace the record falling, A-Rod, Pujols, Cabrera and Teixeira are eyeing that record and 1 of them will beat Bonds some day (probably A-Rod)

First, get your numbers straight.
Here's a point: Bonds may have juiced and hit more homeruns, but the pitchers he hit them off were prob juiced too. When MLB first instituted steriod policy there were a bunch of pitchers that got busted.
I say all records are fair prior to pre-policy.
If steriods are illegal in MLB shouldn't corrective eye surgery be too? I think 20/20 eyes are better asset than big muscles in baseball.

I'm sorry, I came to answer this question because I thought the 365 had to do with how many days out of the year he juices up. I would take February 29th off as well -- he's probably a little sore by then.

NO! He should get NO respect. My hope is that once it is all said and done is that all stats will be wiped clean for anyone caught using roids. That line that he still has to hit the ball is BS, how many of his home runs would be fly outs if he wasn't using them. Also roids improve your hand eye coordination. No matter how you want to justify it it is still cheating. No matter what Bonds does Hank Aaron will still hold the record as far as I'm concerned.

I respect him! He has entertained me for many years. Isn't this what sports is about? I like to be entertained and he does his job well. It's only a game and not that serious.

I don't think he did, except for the cream and the clear, which i don't count. I think he is a good player, maybe the best ever. But hey, everybody has their opinion.
