Basically, there is nothing you can do at this point to change your form or strength. I would make sure to prepare for the meet well. Get a good night of rest before the meet. Eat a good meal the night before and a decent breakfast the day of. Avoid taking any over-the-counter medication, as this could adversely affect performance. Stretch out well and get in a good warm-up before the meet. In a sport where winners and losers are sometimes determined by hundredths of seconds, all of these little things can make a difference.

There is no trick to it. I swim a lot praacticing eight times a week though there are seven days in a week. To go faster in a meet you need to work hard, and to get a bit rest for the meet. That is all that i can tell you on it, and I am a pretty good swimmer.

ok this is going to sound to you like this isn't going to help but, the only thing you can do is preactice. Go in a pool and swim, then mabey lift some weights and have healthy meals, make sure your rested the day of the swim meet. Also if you have a coach ask them if they will look at your strokes for a little bit to make sure that they are good.

That's the thing though, there IS no trick.
Try these tips:
1. Believe in yourself
2. Eat healthy before a race (NO SUGAR).
3. Focus on good technique at practice.
4. Keep looking down, if you look up or behind you, your stroke gets messed up.
5.Focus on moving FORWARD. In either stroke, if you aren't careful, you could be moving up or down.
6. Swim until you think you're gonna puke.
Good luck!!!

Keep your face under the water just below the surface (not bobbing back and forth) and kick as hard as you can...(it's the leg motion that increases your speed) Don't bother to cup your hands as this takes too much mental action and does nothing for your speed

Trick? There's no "trick" to a feat of strength and skill, unless you do something dishonest. You are either better than your competition, or you're not. May the best man... or woman.... .. win.
