Why ask a question then get upset when the answer isn't what you want to hear?

Question

Is it me, or are some people here not capable of understanding the concept of this site? Why do they get upset when the answer they get isn't the answer they wish to hear? If you don't want to hear it, don't ask it. It's about opinion people which means there is no right or wrong answer. You choose which answer suits you. Get it?

I mean, not to be cynical, but it doesn't take many brain cells to understand that the world may or may not agree with you. Doesn't mean anything other than the fact that we are all different with individual mindsets. Realistically, if you want a more correct answer to your question, look it up. This site ( to me) is interesting because it gives you a look into the views and thoughts of other people. I personally like that. This site also shows me how uneducated, closed minded and juvenile some are. Sad.

you're right. a question is opening a subject up to discussion. It's okay to try and justify your own opinion, but not to get annoyed if others don't share your opinion ( well depends just how out of whack the other person's opinion is lol)

I hate to sound snobbish, but I've noticed that most people on this site aren't very mature or intelligent. They know NOTHING about the world as a whole, just their own, so they unfortunately seek answers hear(which again attests to lack of intelligence). Therefore, intelligent curious thinkers(as you appear to be) will often get frustrated by ignorance, and I don't blame you. The guy who said reinforcement was also dead on. Insecure people need to feel that others agree with them because their not sure who THEY are.

I understand what you're saying. I had that problem myself on this site. I should have known better. I was thinking people would say they knew or disagreed with some information I asked about. I was NOT expecting so many people to answer they way they did. It was a learning experience. I wasn't looking for people to agree with me I was just curious, I mean a yes or no answer would have been fine.

Your question is exceptional. Thank you! Many people who pose questions on Yahoo do so looking for validation of their somewhat "off the wall" views. When you have feelings of inferiority, shame, racism, and just being plain stupid, you want to know that there are others in this world that view life as you do. Reassurance is to many people what a good meal with a good wine is to those of us who want to reassure our palates that we have made the right choice of food and drink. But in our case, we do need to ask Yahoo if we are making the right choices in life.

In more than 20years of experiences in service industry, I met the worst and professionally tackle them. It may appear a person is angry or despicable but to me just getting their attention back to the track is the most important part communication and the rest depending method of approaching. A woman is the best subject to study.

I only get bothered by answers that are not answers to the question or otherwise fallacious. I am all about disagreeing, but it could and should be done with a certain level of respect and intelligence.

You are right some people don't want the truth they just want someone to agree with them. I am a truth speaker so you will hear it when I think someone is wrong.

Don't take these people seriously. Some of them anyway. Some say stuff for shock value and don't really try to answer.

i feel the same way but some people will make you mad when they say something stupid or insult you for no reason. it really all boils down to the fact that many people on here act like children with no hometraining.

Yes, you're right.
I can't stand people who only ask questions to garner support for their own misguided theories or hatreds. Why not speak to yourself in a corner instead? :o)
