Why won't he let his guests speak their minds? Better yet, why does he even invite guests if he isn't going to let them voice their views?

O'Reilly knows his audience. They are angry conservatives who are tired of polite namby-pamby interviews. They don't want to hear what the guest has to say, they already know what they think and don't want to be confused by alternate perspectives. They want to see 'liberals' get jumped on.

But even aside from that, Fox Network seems to have a policy that nobody -ever- gets to finish a sentence. It just makes things move faster, don't you think? 8^)

Some people get a big head due to their popularity. Bill is no exception. His show is number one and when it was falling from that he started having more heated debates and the ratings went back up. Look at Brittany Spears and Lindsay Lohan...they were getting more visibility due to their stupid actions...therefore, they did it more and more often and they got more publicity...same with Rosie O'Donnell. The more the publicity, the more they'll do that stupid stuff...it pays the bills. Bill does this too, but I do believe he believes what he says, which does bring SOME credibility to it.

I used to watch his show religiously, then I saw him start cutting people off if they do not agree with him. Now, he even "spins" things, which is how he originally became famous - by NOT spinning. He takes people out of context and makes them look like something they are not. I'm stopped watching him because I do not care for a hypocrite.

Bill's audience consists of old, angry, white people who believe that the world was perfect in 1954.
They don't care about issues, they just want someone to give a voice to old cranks everywhere.
If you find O'Reilly stupid, like everyone else under 70 years of age, then turn it off.

Oh that's an easy one , because he really only wants to hear himself speak.
When it gets right down to it Bill O'Reilly is all about Bill O'Reilly.

Orally tries to bully and insult people who disagree with him in order to try to get his misguided views heard. When confronted with an equally strong opponent - such as Jeremy Glick or Phil Donahue - he'll resort to "shut up" and physical threats ("Get out of my studio before I tear you to ******* pieces!"). Want more proof? Look at that high school kid who quoted Orally's kids' book (which came out in the height of the falafel incident) to make Billo look dumb.

Speaking as a money grubber trainee (college business graduate way back when...which I learned was bleck) it would not be in his best interest to allow other of dissent to back up initial statements with proof...much better to get them off guard (promises prior to air time to let them state their position) and then...knowing their initial stance, pre-prepare counters, diversions, extraneous details, etc. with a large, well trained staff.
