I want to take a poll, here is the question. How many of you would NOT vote for Mitt Romney because he is LDS (Mormon)?

I don't care what religion he is... I'm an atheist, so as long as candidates aren't forcing their religion on me, I'm good. However, I'm a hard-left liberal, and I absolutely will NOT vote for a Republican, especially one who thinks that "we ought to double Guantanamo" and perpetuate the unlawful detainment and TORTURE of people who may be and most likely are totally innocent. Romney's such a tool.

I personally wouldn't care what the religion is, it would depend on their opinions on things such as taxes, immigration, abortion, and Social Security.
To me, unless the person were some maniac Devil worshipper trying to bring world domination to Satan, (no offense to Satanists, it's an exaggeration) religious affiliation is not important to me.
As JFK once said: "I am not a Roman Catholic President, I am a President who happens to be Roman Catholic" Well said.

it's not so much that he's a mormon as it is that he's republican. so am i, but i am pi**ed off beyond belief at the party for the illegal immigrant crap they tried to pull on us- i'm not voting republican, and i'm not giving any money (and i usually give a lot). got first call from party yesterday and told them i'll give money when they care about us as much as they care about illegals. and where the he** is the wall????
