That's a false assumption. You're assuming love has a color. You could ask what color is hate or what color is lust or bleakness.

Most "zen" questions are nonsensical like this.

Your question doesn't sound very Zen to me.

Colors and states of emotions are all temporal. Only present in the notions of the present world we live in. Created to satisfy our desire to live in the past feats of yesterdays events causing us to feel loving or sad.

One must flush away those notions of mortality. Clearing them, only to make room for those that are truly immmortal and everlasting. Which is the ever-enduring presence of the Now. It is only in the fulfillment of that cleansing will we experience that feeling greater that love, greater than the most brilliant colors, greater than anything we have seen before in that past. That's the goal. To Seek to Lose. To Live to Die in the Self. To Cast away the Past and Endure into Now.

Now, Question: Is all that Zen or just BS? Oh, well.

I'd like to answer in two different ways:

Taking from a scientist point of view, it would be whatever color(s) sparks your memory to think about your loved ones. For example, my boyfriend wears a lot of blue and grey. That color combo reminds me of him. I wear a lot of pink and it makes him think of me when he sees it.

From an emotional view, I'd say the color of love is in between pink and red. Mainly because its what I see in my head during times of romance and passion.

CLEAR ... love has no 'colors' at all ... 'clear' means you can 'see' the thing you love with 'perfect sight.'

Thanks ... I come here virtually every day to 'answer questions' and I love the idea of a 'Zen question of the day' ... I'll 'tell you 'more' of why after I answer tomorrow's question.

The true color of love should be red, because it comes from your heart and your hearts color is red. Red also stands for renewal and progressiveness , which is true, because love creates new energy and make you do funny things.

As funny as this sounds black. Just reminds me of the first day my boyfriend and I met. We were both wearing all black and the same type of converse.
