USA really has the largest air force the total number of airplanes are put into the same thing. They don't separate them due to division. As Alexander Graham Bell once said "The nation that secures control of the air will ultimately control the world.” But we could kick anyone's. We have the world's biggest navy by far. Our Navy could take on the rest of the world's navy and win. Take that New Zealand

That depends, if we were to fight in the air...sure but if we are to go into ground combat...like in Iraq then not so much, as you have seen in the news. Yet if it went to the sea's sure we would crush whoever...

Here is the top five
Well according to the Cambridge Factfinder,

Combat Aircraft Rankings:

1. United States The USAF is the largest and most technologically advanced air force in the world, with about 6013 manned aircraft in service (4,282 USAF; 1,321 Air National Guard; and 410 Air Force Reserve); approximately 160 Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles, 2161 Air-Launched Cruise Missiles, and 500 Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles;[2] and as of September 30, 2006, had 334,200 personnel on active duty, 120,369 in the Selected and Individual Ready Reserves, and 107,000 in the Air National Guard. An additional 10,675 personnel were in the Standby Reserve and the Air Force employed 168,558 civilian personnel.[2]

2. Russia The Russian AirForce has a strength of 2400 combat aircraft and a total of 3365 aircraft. The VVS has been forced to abandon ambitious plans for advanced tactical fighters in favour of upgrades to current aircraft. While suggestions that the only way forward for the VVS is to cut aircraft numbers to around 300 (a similar size as the Royal Air Force) are extreme, steady reductions in numbers of front-line aviation regiments are taking place. In October 2004 the disbandment of the 200th and 444th Bomber Aviation Regiments with Tupolev Tu-22M3, the disbandment of the 28th, 159th, 790th, and 941st Fighter Aviation Regiments, the 302nd and 959th Regiments equipped with Sukhoi Su-24, and the 187th and 461st Assault Aviation Regiments with the Sukhoi Su-25 was announced.[1]

3. China The 21st century has seen the continuation of the modernisation programme with China's huge economic growth. It acquired 76 Su-30MKK's from 2000 to 2003, and 24 upgraded Su-30MKK2's in 2004. It also produced around 100 J-11s from 2002 onwards and bought 3 batches (at a total of 76) of the Su-27SK/UBK. Production of the J-10 fighter began in 2002. The PLAAF also began developing its own tanker aircraft, which it previously lacked, by modifying old Soviet planes such as the Tu-16 Badger (in China known as the H-6). In 2005 it announced plans to buy approximately 30 IL-76 transport planes and eight Il-78 tanker planes

4. Indian Air Force has a strength of 170,000 personnel and 1,135 combat aircraft

If the war was strictly and air war, then the U.S. would be a formidable foe. But, as we know from history and current events, most wars need combat troops and heavy armor to finish the job. At any rate, the skies would belong to our team.
