My Betta fish is really shy. He hides whenever anyone comes near. When I feed him, he's not interested and dos'nt eat much. Is there something wrong?

Nope, that's common and within what you would call normal for some Bettas.

my fish wasn't shy..but for the longest time he wouldn't eat at all. i was feeding him standard betta pellets but he still wouldn't eat. so one day i went out to the garden and found a little earthworm and washed it off really well and threw it in the bowl. because of the movement he went after it. now i wouldn't recommend using garden worms because of pesticides and stuff, but pet stores do sell live worms, you may want to try a few of those, remember they have to be pretty small, your fish isn't very big. also you could try mosquito larvae and blood worms. my fish now eats freeze dried blood worms and freeze dried brine shrimp and he wont touch the pellets. but who knows, your fish may have a different taste.

make sure the water temp. is good and levels. you might have just gottin a shy betta. also if you dont have plants and such put some in not a lot but just a few. you can also get a diffrent betta put it in a diffrent tank it might see it a "wake up" and defend its tank but not hurt itself.

No, there's nothing wrong
That is absolutely normal, he has to get used to the new environment, and you're going to see that he's going to come to you at each feeding after a while
They have great personalities

it's normal... just try giving him more attention.. mine was just like that, and so i gave it more attention and it started coming out more...
