I just read your note because I was wondering what sort of responses you'd get. And so I read through the responses and I have to agree with you. There are some pretty mean people on here. I'm guessing that Yahoo didn't intend for this to happen when they set up Yahoo Answers but it's a free country and people will be however they want to be.
Just ignore the ignorant responses or find some other venue for answering your questions. The folks who are being mean probably have rotten lives and have to take it out on somebody to get rid of some of their pain. Don't let it affect you.

People [myself included at times] feel like they can say whatever they want online without any problems sometimes it's hard to remember that there really is someone on the other end of the computer and you could end up hurting feelings. But I think you [and me too sometimes] shouldn't be so touchy. Remember it's just a computer and these people really don't matter. Oh, and a whore is someone who has sex for money. LOL Don't let people bug you.

it's a question of maturity and diplomacy. You need to diplomatic in how you ask your questions, so you don't set yourself up for abuse by the immature. But, no matter what you ask, there are certain people who can't do anything but act like 10 year olds in their replies. Just remember that life is like that. There are really good people, immature people, and really bad people. You have to deal with all of em as best you can. But just think how dull life would be if it was any other way. By the way, good for you on your decision to wait. Shows maturity and intelligence. The ones who rag at you, gave up theirs and just want to make you feel bad so they feel better. Don't sweat the small stuff.

people are stupid. they can do it just for attention or because they feel like they need to say it. people on here are mean. and im 100% with you that if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. if you ask for a game website some idiots will give you porn websites. yahoo answers has gonan really bad in the past year. people neeed to know when to say stuff and when to not. there are freaks out here just be careful and good luck. dont let it bother you althought i know sometimes you cant help it.

Well, get it got it good is kind of mean, too. But in answer to your question? There are a lot of dorks out there with nothing better to do than log on. Then they have even less to do, so they come on here and rip on others, say horrible things they are too weak to say to anyone's face.
These kinds of folks are usually beaten by their parents or other kids at school. Pray for them and feel sorry for them.

Some people are major losers who probably wouldn't say anything mean to your face but are so cowardly that they are rude when they are anonymous. Ignore them. They're not worth your time.

People say stuff just to be mean.Don't Worry some people just are rude and think it's fun, you can just ignore them. If they really start bothering you can just block them.
