Most offices limit at $50 unless they have a lot of small expenditures that they pay from it and then it's 100

There is no limit but it is messy so I try not to use it too much. Make sure you document all petty cash expenses. I keep 1,000 in petty cash but if someone gives me cash I will use it for expenses too sometimes. Most keep about a month worth of petty cash and limit each expense to a couple of hundred if more write a check.

Depends on your company's policy.

We keep $200 of petty cash on hand, and give out no more than $25 at a time.

We have petty cash at work,,,its 30GBP, 25 in coins. it should only be a small amount.
