An indictment happens when the prosecution presents enough evidence to warrant a trial...can't have a trial with an indictment

An indictment is a list of charges he is to be tried for and charged with. He HAS to be indicted before he goes to trial

yeah you have to be indicted to go to trial, idicted is just a big word for being charged with a crime
