I very sure I ovulated last week (Large Increase in CM the clear stretchy kind) and we tried a few times to conceive, I have mild cramps and uneasiness in my lower abdominal very uncommon for me my period is due to come around August 7th, how long do i have to wait to take a pregnancy test????

after august 7th, if you know when you ovulate you should understand you cant test until your late its a waste of time and money and emotion

I would wait at least a few days after the day you expect to have your period. depending on what our normal cycle is (avg 28-30 days), wait at least 5 days to a week, if your period hasn't come yet, then take a hpt.
sometimes the stress of waiting to see if you'll miss your period and hoping to get pregnant can put some stress on your body and your period might come a few days late. or even you do happen to conceive you may not have enough hormones in your body to get a true positive result.
so i say wait until your at least 5-7 days after your missed period to test.

Most home test kits suggest the earliest day would be 5 days before your period, which would be about Aug 2 for you. But they are not very accurate that early. I would suggest you just wait until Aug 7.
