"Atticus Finch"! Dammit, dragon; that's not fair! Ahem. However, since I've read more than one book; (smile) ...reading is my obsession-(I bet you thought it was "answers")...running a VERY close second is Ari Ben Caanan; "Exodus", by Leon Uris. Oh, and on a much more frivilous (and fun!) side, "Hawk" from the "Spenser" series by Robert Parker. Also; Lucas Davenport is a good choice; Alex Cross is wonderful; what about -oh, hell, I READ all the time; I wouldn't if there weren't sooo many fun...WAIT! Jane Whitefield, the "guide" and heroine of Thomas Perry's books...and Stephanie Plum, Janet Ivanovitch's "bounty hunter", and Kinsey Milhone, and...Gotta go; I'm in the middle of a really GOOD book!. }:> (Oh; and just so you know...Harry Potter is cool, but Hermione is my favorite character in those books...) Ya know, dragon, there's a REASON Harry is sooo popular! They are very good books; written very well....you might want to consider dealing with it....=/0....

I read the question on my profile page and immediately said..... OH YAY... I can write about Atticus Finch!! And then I get here and you've said it. I seriously couldn't agree more. How can you not just absolutely adore this man? I love how he is as a father.... as a friend...... as a lawyer...... as a man. He is so grounded.... so kind.... so calm.... so logical... so wise. I love how he handles Jem and Scout. I love how he sees no color. I love how he brings the community together. I love how he brings the good out in people........ Even Mrs. Dubose!! Yes...... Atticus Finch will always be my favorite character!
