I don't think so,
He had the NL MVP, But Craig Biggio was a better second baseman during his era. He also plays horrible defense. he also had to speed.

Yes. Probably the best all time hitting 2nd baseman,5 time all star,MVP in 2000,Most HR's by a 2nd baseman. And he has finished in the top ten for MVP 3 times

All in all i think he should be in the hall of fame but thats just my opinion

It's a tough call. No one has hit more home runs at the position of second base. But he has never even been the best player on his own team. (Then again, neither was Pete Rose, and that hasn't stopped some people from saying he belongs.) When you think "great players of the 1990s," Jeff Kent is not a name that comes up quickly. I'd have to say No.

No. People too often push good, solid baseball players as hall of famers. History shows that the baseball hall of fame is the most exclusive of our major sports. Only those who truly dominated their era make the cut, and Kent has not done so.

He does have the most HR ever by a second baseman in his career; but I don't think he gets in...

I say no, he loses votes by being an arrogant prick to BWA voters. And his offensive nos. are very nice but not HOF stuff unless you really think of him as only a 2B, but that argument doesn't do a lot for me unless he was a good fielding 2B.

No. Let's focus our energy on good players like Russell Martin, definite future Hall of Famer.
