If you notice, they always say that violence is down whenever the death toll for American troops is under 100. Then the next month, it back up again.

Today, Thursday, 26 July 2007, the violence is down in Iraq, compared to a couple of days ago when over 100 people were killed by a carbomb.

Only 5 US troops died so far this week, that is down from last week. This week 6 were killed so far, last week twenty some odd lost their life.

So if you are looking for GOOD news, you can say that THIS WEEK, fewer people lost their lives in Iraq, than some other week, when there were more deaths.

BUT PEOPLE STILL GOT KILLED FOR NO GOOD REASON!!!!!

MANY OF THEM US TROOPS.

Anyone who cares about our troops, would want them to live. I say we bring them home, so that more of them can live. And treat the wounded with free medical care FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES!! They earned it.

But then again, sometimes I think that Bush thinks that VIOLINS are down in Iraq, which is a totally different topic! :-D

I herd some earlier about this month 55 American troops die this month already.... It's insane! These IUD's are out of control, and a really good sign they we are putting our troops at risk for what? I don't want to discount what they do but I think it's time to wake up... when have we ever stayed around this long "rebuilding" a county we attacked? It's been long enough and we are losing so many Americans. It's a dam shame!

The only way violence will ever go down in Iraq is when the U.S. leaves! When it looks like violence is going down I bet it is the U.S. that is setting off all the car bombs to stir things back up, it's funny how no soldiers are ever wounded or killed in the car bomb attacks, just innocent civilians. Who can blame the suicide bombers, put yourself in their shoes, look what the U.S. is doing to them. They said they were going to go get Saddam and they did that, why stay when the original mission was accomplished?

One event cannot show whether violence is increasing or decreasing. You would need to look at the number of deaths in the last year per week per number of troops on the ground to find a real trend in the rate of violence. I have not seen any data of this type yet.

Not really.

As with any human activity, it has cycles and moods, and may be slightly down one day and slightly higher another.

But on an overall graph, the rate violence (number of incidents per week) and rate of death (not total deaths, but deaths per month) has increased pretty consistently over the least 2~3 years.

Your liberal media is never going to tell you the truth about Iraq so why do you even read their BS?
