Tha majority of the elements which form the chemicals in our environment have indeed been on the planet since its very formation (absent those elements which we have largely received via meteorites, like iridium, etc.)

However, there is a great difference between elements and compounds, and many artificial compounds found today--like the CFCs in the question--have not always been present but have instead been manufactured and come into the environment only recently. Persistent organic chemicals, like many pesticides and PCBs, are other examples of dangerous compounds which are likely to be with us for a long time but which did not exist before we created them.

To better illustrate the difference between elements and compounds, consider common table salt. The elements which make it up are sodium and chlorine, both of which are extremely hazardous in their pure states, yet as a compound, they are a nutritional requirement and are found throughout the world.

All elements were on the planet from the beginning, but synthetic chemicals are compounds of elements that we (humans) have created using chemistry. Some of the chemicals were already found in nature and we are just finding more efficient ways to produce them. Others are not found in nature and we are synthesizing them to fill a need that nature cannot (or we haven't found out how nature does yet).

Asking a sincere question about how the world works is never "dangerous", and a good citizen recognizes that knowledge is power.

A lot of the chemicals used today are mixtures of different pre-existing chemicals that form new solutions with completely different, and sometimes dangerous, properties as the original ingredients.

There is something called the table of elelments. This table gives a number to every known element on earth. Man has long ago learned how to combined these elements to make different compounds, not necessarily a new element. Man also uses different environments such as heat and cold to manipulate compounds into a viriaty of different states.

From my point of view i think that u r right, all gases & chemicals were on the planet BUT they were apart from each other

As u know the dangerous chemicals r a combinations between gases, all the gases r NOT dangerous BUT when they come together, it makes dangerous substance

Humans made them and uses them irresponsibly. Read label carefully and dispose of empty containers as directed, it will help a little, every bit helps.

You are on dangerous course, dear.

When a dude on the TV tells you about things,
you are supposed to listen and not ask questions.
Please, be a good citizen, and stop using your brain.
