Why its a slow death? If you don't desire living with the woman tell her & get her free consent to get dissolution of this marriage, then both of you are free from each other & happy for rest of your life. No one can force any one to live with the person you don't love or desire. Its always best to call of such marriage & live tension free life. Just make arrangement for her alimony for her maintenance for life or till the time she gets married again & custody of children if you have got.

If you have a negative attitude like that and don't do anything to try to make the marriage work, then I suppose you could see it that way. I think it's pretty melodramatic of you.

If you're in this situation, then you need to try to work on the marriage first. There was a reason you agreed to be with her for the rest of your life, so try to find it again.

Good luck!

well, you once desired her, enough to marry this lady. Whatever has caused that to diminish, work on it. No one is promised a marriage without bumps in the road or changes. Are you as still desirable as you once was????

No, it isn't. Love is a choice and is expressed by actions. You are making the choice not to desire her - you are the problem.

See a therapist or clergyman if you are a member of a church.

Yes, I would view that as a slow death...but a very public one also.

Life is slow death.

Anyone who stays in ANY situation they don't like, when they are capable of changing it or doing something different, is a fool or a masochist.

Take responsibility for (general) your life and happiness and move forward...

Sounds like you have already answered your own question if you feel this way. I don't think it is fair to your wife either. I would want my husband to love and desire me. If he were that unhappy then I would want him to say so.

If you feel like you are dying from the relationship, you need to get out of the relationship. It will be better for both of you in the long run.
