My husband and I have a good sexual relationship so we are not lacking in that area however he does cheat. Why?

Because they think they can get away with it (that their woman will never find out). Its like eating the entire cake and not gaining a single pound. Some men are simply easily tempted and have a strong sense of curiosity. Some have that "...it must be greener on the other side...." syndrome and are anxious to prove or disprove their theory.
I am convinced that 99 times out of 100, if the man knew that he was going to get caught, it would never happen. The other 1% either don't care or are trying to get their GF/wife to break up/leave them.

First of all it isn't only men that cheat.People in general cheat to fulfill some need,whatever that is.most of the time it is an insecurity about ones self,they need to show themselves that they are still attractive to the opposite sex.People blame boredom etc..but the bottom line is an insecurity in them self.Thus the phrase once a cheater always a cheater.If you don't address the insecurity,you won't fix the problem.If your husband is cheating consider this,he probably will not stop (if you caught him ,he will just be more careful next time).If he doesn't stop he is putting you at risk for a STD.Is that something you want?

They do it for all sort of reasons and it's about him not you. Some do it because they like variety and are not content in being with just one person. Some feel they are intittled to it because they are men or they have sex addictions.Cheating is always a choice and it is very dangerous these days with all the STD'S out there. Don't allow him to get away with this. tell him he needs help because you will not tollerate it. You deserve to be respected by the man you entrusted your life to and what he is doing is unacceptable. Give him an ultimatum if you love him and want to work on things with him. If not you have to make the choice to move on in life without him. Best wishes and take care .

Humans have three man components: The mental, the physical, and the emotional. Cheating comes when one or more of these are not being satisfied or fullfilled by that one person. So people will seek outside fullfillment.
The question to ask is if he fully satisfied in all these aspects.

Women cheat too. People cheat because they want a little variety in their life. We get bored with the same old same old. We are animals and monogamy is not a natural state for us. Pretty simple really.

Ask him. Why do people cheat gets asked here every day...do a question search for "why cheat" (no quotes) and you'll find many of the TONS of times this has been asked.
However none of those answers will make you feel one bit better about it.

1.) It is exciting for him.

I'm with MO, because you keep letting him...
He is never going to change. You have to decide whether or not you are willing to live the rest of your life like this. Believe it or not there are some good loyal men out there. If I were you I would move on and find one. You don't deserve to be treated like that.

probably b/c he cannot commit to just u, he wants to be w/ more than one person sexually. he might want to be a swinger, but he married u b/c he loves u. and i agree w/ the other ppl u need to stop him from cheating on u he is ur husband.

It's not always about sex. Sometimes it's laughs, companisonship, the thrill of a new affair, or just not feeling loved.
Same reason women cheat.
