We'd have plenty of room for our over-crowded prison population, and I doubt illegals would try climbing the prison walls to get into the U.S. (and if they do, they're "home"). Seems to me it would solve a lot of problems and be cheaper than us throwing more billions of dollars at the border without results.

How about making it a military bombing range or a test site for chemical weapons......
My local gun club needs a new shooting range, that's another good idea..

Interesting idea, but it would never work. I do like the idea though.
What's wrong with a wall? Why are we blowing billions of dollars in Iraq with wide open borders? It's like spending thousands of dollars on an alarm system for your home, then leaving on vacation with all of the doors wide open.
